“Dollhouse” is closing its doors at Fox.
The network has canceled Joss Whedon’s cult fave, which in May beat the odds with a second-season pickup despite low ratings.
The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order, and Whedon plans to give the show a proper ending.
After some dismal performance in the fall, despite the ratings bumps “Dollhouse” got from DVR viewing, Fox benched the show for the November sweep after four episodes.
For now, Fox is expected to air the remaining episodes starting Dec. 4 as planned.
“Dollhouse” stars Eliza Dushku as a DNA-altered woman who gets implanted false memories for various missions and tasks.
Fox already has picked up breakout freshman dramedy “Glee” for a full season, while sophomore drama “Lie to Me” is waiting for an episodic order after receiving an order for three additional scripts last month.
The first trailer is ready!
TSCC alums Kristina Apgar, Summer Glau and Leven Rambin all appear in “Good Morning Rabbit”. GMR was also written and directed by TSCC New Media Guru Hadley Klein.

How’s this for ironic? In an interview w/ “Dollhouse” creator Joss Whedon on Airlock Alpha when asked what show he would’ve picked to stay on Friday nights, here’s his response:
Although Whedon is dedicated to “Dollhouse,” he did admit that if there was left up to him to choose what show survived Friday night, he might not have picked his own. Instead, he would’ve picked “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.”
“I am an apocalyptic future nut. I love that stuff,” he said. “I can never get enough of it. If they had put a gun to my head and told me to choose, I would say renew ‘Sarah Connor.’ I wasn’t trying to imitate it but it’s definitely in my vocabulary.”
Interesting. Then again Joss is a big BSG nut so it would figure that he’d love TSCC.
Friday night this fall you’ll be able to still support one of your TSCC stars – Brian Austin Green makes his appearance on Smallville in the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the season. Smallville moves to Friday nights at 8PM on the CW. Their premiere date is Sept 25th.
Hey there,
So next week is Comic Con – as a result expect that updates here will be rare as I gear up to go. Not a lot of stuff for Chronicler’s there this year, but it should still be fun. Thomas Dekker has started season 2 of IQ-145 – I’m hoping that maybe our girls at Dekker Daily will find out that the producers will somehow get there and I’m sure Thomas would come along. If that happens we’ll be sure to let you know.
Be sure to check the Comic Con Schedule – they changed the times for the Avatar & women of Sci-Fi panels. (I can’t go to Avatar now – GRRR!)
After the craziness of Comic Con is over I’m going to try to focus on updating the site here and rather give the site a new-ish direction. As a fandom, we need to start thinking of new ways to remind the world of this great series. If shows like Firefly which only got one season can have relatively organized fanbases – we need to do the same. If you’ve got ideas please join our newly reorganized forums and share them with us. Until then – I hope to see you guys at Comic Con!

Emails, letters, postcards… Have we made an impact? Are we getting through to Warner Brothers? Are they hearing the united voice of the fans crying out for more Sarah Connor Chronicles? Maybe, but we think it’s time to up our game. We think its time to show Warner Brothers that we mean business:
I know what you’re thinking. I may not know how you think, but I know what you’re thinking about right now. A mobile billboard?! That’s got to be expensive! Indeed it is, Resistance, but not very expensive at all if everyone chips in. All we need is $3500 and surely there are enough true TSCC fans to make it happen.

What could be more fun than stickers, you ask? Sarah Connor stickers! There’s a pair of eye-pleasing, attention-grabbing stickers now available to help raise awareness of our cause at a grass roots level. This idea was originally conceived as a way for TSCC fans attending Comic Con to label themselves and present a united front. But why limit it to a con?
They’re being distributed at cost so they’re super cheap. Buy a bunch and hand them out to friends. Pass them out at conventions. Leave a stack on the counter of your local comic book shop, video store, book store or coffee shop. Put them on community bulletin boards. Cover your notebooks and lockers. Stick them on your bicycles, bumpers, doors, windows. Wear them on your hats and clothes. Be creative — put these stickers everywhere!
