Moon Bloodgood, others fill cast of Spielberg’s alien-invasion pilot

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

16538485RKC_Erika220200964819PMMoon Bloodgood, Jessy Schram, Seychelle Gabriel and Maxim Knight have joined Noah Wyle on TNT’s untitled alien invasion pilot from executive producer Steven Spielberg, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bloodgood was most recently seen as a rebellious pilot in Terminator Salvation and a cop on USA Network’s Burn Notice. Here’s what the trade paper reported:

The project, written by Robert Rodat from an idea he conceived with Spielberg, is set shortly after aliens have wiped out most of the human population and centers on a ragtag group of soldiers and civilians led by widower Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) who struggle against the occupying alien force. In the pilot, directed by Carl Franklin, Bloodgood, Schram, Gabriel and Knight all play members of the group.

Bloodgood will play Anne Glass, a therapist working with the children to help them with the trauma of the alien invasion. With her strength and dry sense of humor, Anne, whose husband died during the invasion, becomes a bedrock of the survivors’ community and Tom’s confidant.

Terminator Ladies Make FHM Top #100 Sexiest Girls List 2009

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

SummerGlau_Health_6 TSCC’s Summer Glau vaulted up FHM’s annual 100 Sexiest Girls List this year. If memory serves me right she squeaked on at like #99 last year and this year came in at #26!

Here’s what they say about her:

Some things just don’t last long enough – a first kiss, or maybe a really juicy burger. For sc-fi fans that one thing was Firefly. Created by Joss Whedon of Buffy fame, it was a slice of sci-fi perfection not least because it involved Miss Glau as a hard-as-nails child prodigy who loved a ruck.

Despite its cancellation, the 27-year-old Texan’s skill with a roundhouse set her up to take the role of a sexy terminator in The Sarah Connor Chronicles. And despite fans’ efforts, Fox have also now canned this leaving our lecherous minds with a disconcerting Summer Glau-sized void.

Terminator SalvationMoon Bloodgood also found her way onto the list and came in at #97!

Terminator Salvation was garbage. As much as we wanted to love it, we just couldn’t. However, its one redeeming factor was the opportunity it afforded many of us to see Moon on the big screen for the first time.

With a career previously focused on TV acting, (she even once played a stripper on CSI) it was only a matter of time before Moon was cast in a big movie role. At a career-turning point of 33 years old, we’re hoping Terminator hasn’t confined the Korean/Irish/Dutch actress into only further short stints on the likes of Burn Notice. Source
