Shirley Manson to Make Big Screen Debut in Douglas Gordon Horror Film?

The Herald Scotland reports that Shirley Manson is set to star in a horror film directed by visual artist Douglas Gordon. Gordon’s most recent film, Zidane, un portrait du 21e siècle, is a documentary about French football player Zinedine Zidane. The Herald says:

Now she [Manson] is set to make her big screen debut in a horror film, after agreeing to work with Turner Prize-winning Scottish artist Douglas Gordon on his feature film.

Manson’s only acting role to date has been in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, playing a morphing killer robot, but now Mr Gordon has specially written a role for the 43-year-old.

Yesterday Manson said: “I would love to be in it. I’d be great in horror – you know it. I’m scary. I’m in. I’m sold.”

Manson and Gordon will be appearing on BBC Two (Scotland only) Tuesday, March 9 at 10 pm local time. From the BBC:

Leven Rambin to star in ABC’s Scoundrels

My BIG NEWS: I am in the new ABC show, SCOUNDRELS with Virginia Madsen as my mom! Filming in Albequerque! We takin’ this show on the road!

Sarah Connor Chronicles alum Leven Rambin, who just wrapped an arc on Grey’s Anatomy as Mark’s pregnant daughter, has joined the cast of ABC’s summer series Scoundrels.

The dramedy centers on the matriarch (Virginia Madsen) of a family of crooks who attempts to lead her brood on an honest, hardworking path after her hubby (Neal McDonough) is sent to prison. Rambin will play their dumb-as-nails, aspiring model daughter, Vanessa.

Scoundrels — which has been picked up for eight episodes (all of them slated to air this summer) — is based on the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune.

Shirley Manson and Garbage In the Studio

Shirley Manson and her bandmates from Garbage are back together in the studio, Shirley announced on her Facebook page early this morning. The band has been on “indefinite hiatus” since 2005. Here’s what she said:
